Establishment of SC/ST Cell in this college

Objectives

In order to facilitate the holistic development of the SC/ST students, the Objective of SC/ST Cell are following-

• Ensure that the students can avail the scholarships without any problems.
• Strive to create an atmosphere where no student from the SC/ST is bullied or harassed if any instance of harassment is found or reported the SC/ST Cell takes necessary Action .
• To enhance equal opportunities for education of SC/ST students.
• To counsel and guide SC/ST students about various issues and help to manage Academic activities.
• Co-operate with students who are unable to get their SC/ST certificate and help them complete the due procedure to receive their certificates.

Functions of the Special Cell-

• In order to solve the problem of students related to scholarship, information is given to all the students in the prayer meeting.
• Ensure provision for an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
• Motivating and assisting students from SC/ST category to apply for the various Scholarship State Govt. and Central Govt.
• The curriculum and syllabus related problems are also solved by faculty member whenever the students request.
• The cell maintained the record of the students regarding filling the scholarship form and received the scholarship.

Importance of SC/ST Cell

To counsel and guide SC/ ST students and help them to manage academic and personal life effectively. To ensure provisions of an environment where all such students feel safe and secure. To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event at the campus.
